Author visit for grades K - 2

Anna Alter, picture book author and illustrator, will be visiting with the students in grades K - 2 on Monday, March 3rd. This is an opportunity for students to learn from an author about their work…how does an author come up with ideas for stories? How long does it take for a book to be published? What steps does an author take in order to bring a book to publication?

We have been reading her books during library classes to prepare students for the visit. If you would like to read some of her books with your family, Anna's books are listed below:

Disappearing Desmond
Abigail Spells

A Photo for Greta
The Three Little Kittens
Francine's Day
Estelle and Lucy
What Can You Do with An Old Red Shoe? A Green Activity Book about Reuse

We hope our students will be inspired by this upcoming visit!
