Summer Reading Required/ Recommended titles

Order forms for the required summer reading titles went out to students this week. It is not mandatory that you purchase these books; it's just a convenience provided by the PTO for families who would like the books delivered to school and who would like some of the proceeds of their purchase to benefit the PTO.
All books are readily available through the public libraries and through local bookstores. Brookline Booksmith frequently displays the books that each Brookline elementary school is recommending.
Here are the titles:

Recommended:

Entering 1st: Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes

Required:
Entering 2nd: Ling and Ting: Not Exactly the Same! by Grace Lin
Entering 3rd: Choose ONE of the following:

Spunky Tells All by Ann Cameron
Anna Hibiscus by Atinuke
Entering 4th: Morning Girl by Michael Dorris
Entering 5th: Three Times Lucky by Sheila Truing
Entering 6th: The Breadwinner by Deborah Ellis
Entering 7th: The Wednesday Wars by Gary Schmidt
