Spring in the library

Lots happening in the library in the next few weeks:

Author Loree Griffin Burns will be coming for her rescheduled visit with the middle school students on Friday, May 17. We are greatly looking forward to the visit -- it had to be rescheduled due to snow-- and we imagine she will inspire lots of future authors and scientists in the audience!

Parents will be receiving order forms for summer reading titles soon. This service is offered as a convenience to parents and is in no way required-- all of the titles are readily available at the public libraries and through your local bookstore.

The district librarians have been hard at work revising the extensive summer reading packet that all Brookline students receive in June. During their last library visit, all students will participate in a preview of the books on the summer reading list and will get a chance to peruse the books, hopefully encouraging lots of reading this summer! Students will receive a hard copy of the packet before they leave for the summer and the list will also be available online for your convenience.
